Welcome to Moddose,
We are all about staying younger for longer. And if that means taking supplements every day, so be it.
Last week my son came to me wanting to kick the footy.
For those of you who don’t know, Footy is Aussie slang for football.
And yes, we kick the footy Down Under; we don’t throw it.
Anyway, he wanted to kick the footy.
When he wants to do something with me, I’m always thrilled to spend time with him. And I always make an effort to free up my time so that I can do things with him.
So we were kicking the ball and having a great time.
And I couldn’t help but feel grateful that I had the energy at my age (early fifties) to be active with my boy. But that got me thinking. Just a few years ago, that wasn’t the case.
In fact, I remember the disappointment vividly on his face when he asked the same question, and I didn’t have the energy to play. I was in my late forties, and it seemed like I always needed more sleep.
Outside of work, I couldn’t find the energy for extra activities. Even though he said, “That’s OK, daddy!” the sad look on his young face broke my heart.
I never wanted to be the older dad who couldn’t play and be active with his children. But it seemed that it had become a sad reality for me.
But fast forward a few years, and I’ve got so much energy I feel like I’m jumping out of my skin. I’ve got all the energy I need to keep up with both of my children and my wife. 😉
So what’s my secret, I hear you ask?
Well, on that very day, when I saw the sad look on my son’s face, I made a decision that I would not let this be my future.
And I made some very extreme changes to my diet. It took some time, but I started to feel better.
Slowly but surely, my energy started to come back. But I wanted to feel vibrant, energetic as if I could take on the world.
During this same period, I started to take the herb cistanche tubulosa as a libido-boosting supplement. And it also helped give me more energy.
So I thought that maybe the place where I buy cistanche, “Lost Empire Herbs,” would have something else that could work with my diet and with the cistanche to give me the extra energy boost I was looking for.
Well, after a bit of research on their site, I came up with Pine Pollen. And here I am, over 50, running around and kicking the footy with my son.
I’m really living the dream!
