Welcome to Moddose,
We are all about staying younger for longer. And if that means taking supplements every day, so be it.
Hello Friend,
Since I started writing about low libido and erectile dysfunction, I have been asked many questions.
And the most common questions go something like this; “Are there any natural solutions to help people with problems like a low sex drive?”
Or “Is there a way I can fix my erectile dysfunction naturally.” Or even “Is there such a thing as Natural Viagra?”
And then there is this one; What do you take to help with your erectile dysfunction?
Well, to everyone who has asked these questions, thank you so much. And I hope I can help you get the answers you are looking for here.
When I started to have problems getting an erection, I started using Viagra, and I found it very expensive. Hence, I switched to Sildenafil which is the generic version of Viagra.
And let’s be clear, it works. In fact, I have used it for a few years. But I prefer to use natural remedies if they are effective.
No one wants some hit-and-miss solution that they can’t rely on. So I started to explore some alternative solutions.
And if you don’t mind, I’d like to share some of the things I have learned. You see, there is really no need for you to go through all the trial and error.
I’ve done all that for you, and you can learn quickly from my successes and my failures. Now, let’s get right to it and explore this idea of a “Natural Viagra.”
6 Natural Alternatives to Viagra Fact or Fiction
Watermelon and L-citrulline
Some people claim that regularly eating watermelon can help with ED (erectile dysfunction).
Now, this may sound a bit crazy, and many of these claims have no backing. But, there have been some studies done.
So let’s continue. Now, watermelon is high in something called L-citrulline. And some research has been done on the effect that L-citrulline has on ED.
In one study when a small group of men was given L-citrulline supplements. And a noted improvement in mild erectile dysfunction cases was seen.
Now my symptoms were a little more than mild. But I like watermelon, so I gave it a go. First, I needed to match the amount of L-citrulline given in the study.
This came to about 4 cups of watermelon daily. This was not a problem because, as I said, I really like watermelon.
But after a month, I really didn’t see any change in my condition. So for me, it was not really effective.
Ginseng
Korean ginseng or red ginseng has been used in the east for a long time to help stimulate sexual desire and function in men.
Some small studies have shown promising results reporting improvement in erection strength for men with significant erectile dysfunction.
Now when I tried ginseng, I did find that it helped my condition a little. It didn’t bring me back to the sexual performance of my younger years.
I was able to have sex sometimes but not 100% of the time. And, unfortunately, I experienced a couple of negative side effects.
I started to get some chest pains, and I couldn’t sleep as well as at night. I read up on ginseng and found that some people can experience several side effects when taking ginseng.
They include;
- Insomnia
- Blood Pressure Changes
- Chest Pain
- Nausea and Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Nervousness and Mania
So if you want to try ginseng, you should talk to your doctor first.
Ginger
The root of the ginger plant is widely used as a spice and as an alternative medicine to reduce inflammation.
One study showed an increase in sperm production in mice. Now I eat ginger every day, and I still had problems in the bedroom.
So for me, this one is not effective.
Ginkgo Biloba
Ginkgo biloba is known as the oldest living tree. It has been traced back 250 million years.
The Chinese have used it for thousands of years and was first written about nearly 5000 years ago.
It has been used in Chinese medicine to help cognitive decline and also to treat erectile dysfunction.
Studies have turned out to have inconsistent results for the treatment of ED. I was lucky to have a Ginkgo Biloba tree at home, so I dried some leaves and then made my own tincture.
I found that I sometimes experienced improvements and, other times, nothing at all.
Maybe the positive effect I felt was more in my mind. But, I can’t say that Ginkgo Biloba worked every time for me.
Yohimbe (Yohimbine)
Yohimbe is a tree that grows in West Africa. In some parts of Africa, Yohimbe bark is used to make tea used as an aphrodisiac (to boost sexual desire).
Before Viagra was available, some doctors would prescribe an extract from the bark of the Yohimbe tree called yohimbine. Experts have shown it to be ineffective in most cases.
It also has a long list of side effects such as;
- Jitteriness
- Headache
- Sweating
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Increased Heart Rate
- Nervousness
- Anxiety
- Irritability
- Panic Attacks
- Dizziness
- Increased Blood Pressure
- Flushing of Skin
- Tremors
- Restlessness
- Reduced Urination
Now I didn’t try this one for reasons, just these reasons. But I have mentioned it here because it came up so many times in my research.
Cistanche
Cistanche Tubulosa is a desert plant that grows in Tibet and the North West of China.
Cistanche, or Rou Cong Rong, known in Chinese medicine, has been used for around 2000 years for several different conditions, including low libido and erectile dysfunction.
Some other names for cistanche are “The Stalk Enlarger” and “Cistanche in your pants.” Now cistanche was recommended to me by a good friend, so I had better expectations.
And what can I say? It works.
But you don’t take it the same as Viagra. You see, when you take Viagra, it can take about 30 to 60 minutes to take effect.
Well, cistanche doesn’t work that way. You take it as a daily supplement, and it can take from a few days to a couple of weeks to start working.
And it feels much more natural because it restores your sexual health to how it used to be instead.
So you are ready any time the opportunity for sex comes up, and you don’t have to plan. With Viagra, a little planning is needed because it’s like turning on a switch to get an erection.
It can take some of the spontaneity out of sex.
So here are some of the benefits you can experience when you take cistanche regularly;
Cistanche will increase your libido so you can enjoy sex like you were in your 20’s again. It even helps increase libido in women, so your wife will have no more headaches.
Cistanche will increase your sexual stamina so you can keep the pleasure going for longer.
Cistanche will increase the blood flow to your penis, which in turn can boost your size for an even more pleasurable experience for both you and your partner.
Cistanche helps to treat erectile dysfunction so you can get wood when you want to and stop those embarrassing moments when you can’t get it up.
So is Natural Viagra Fact or Fiction?
After testing out these solutions, I found that many claims just don’t really deliver.
And while some of the versions of natural Viagra listed here may have positive effects for some people, I only found one of them to be effective.
And that is Cistanche. In fact, I take Cistanche every day. Don’t get me wrong, that’s not because Sildenafil doesn’t work.
Generic Viagra gives me a strong erection every time I want to have sex. I take Cistanche because I want something more natural.
So, now I have a question for you. Would you like to try a natural solution to fix your sexual dysfunction?
Do you want to stop disappointing your partner? Are you ready to retake control of your sex life?
Well, just click on the link, and you can get some cistanche right now. I certainly don’t have any complaints.
Neither does my wife. 😉
